My name is Jennifer, and I am an Honors graduate of the Career Step program. When my son was born, my husband and I made the decision that I would be a stay-at-home mom. That has proven to be such a rewarding job, but it can be difficult financially. After a lot of research, I decided that a career in Medical Transcription would be perfect for me and my family. And Career Step has proven to be the perfect course to prepare me.

I have been working for 9 months now, and can't imagine a better situation for my family. I am working for a great company, right from my home. I work part time as an independent contractor. I am able to do as little or as much work as I can/want. Some days I work for an hour, some days I work for 10 hours. It all depends upon the situation that day.

I love that I can work and still be available to my son whenever he needs me. I am currently working on my productivity level. I am averaging between $10 and $15 per hour right now, and watching it steadily go up. I am already making enough money to cover my son's preschool AND my car payment, which is such a huge help for our household.

Honestly, if you are looking for a rewarding career where hard work and determination means that you are able to work from your home and make good money - I would certainly contact Career Step. They prepared me so well. I get feedback every day from my boss and QA person, saying how well I'm doing, and what quality work I'm putting out. The course can be tough, but it really does the job.
